Hey guys,

I have been storing my Mustang in Florida for a year and a half now while I have been overseas in Norway spending time with family while my father had cancer and working a full time job. I have been over there three times during this period driving it and doing some work on it, but for the rest of the time it has been on jack stands in our garage. We are now selling the house over there and it will be put in a storage locker until mid-July, but because of the tight space I would prefer to leave it on the ground. Do I risk getting any flat spots on the tires from it standing still for almost four months? Should I fill a few extra PSI's in the tires? I have the 245/45ZR17 Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 tires on all four corners. Because my dad has recovered and gotten better I am moving back to Florida and into a new apartment this summer, which is why it will only be in storage for a few more months. I still have 50-60% thread left and would hate to buy new tires now because of flat spots, which is why I am asking you guys for advice and information!

Make sure they are at the proper PSI and they will be okay, I leave my car for 6 months at a time on stock pirellis and have never had a problem. My father has a 68 chevelle with a big block ( much heaver then ur mustang) that has the same tires as you and the car sits for 6 months at a time and has never had a problem with flat spots

Alright, thank you! So you suggest I should not add a few extra PSI? I am not in Florida my self now because I have to work, so it is another family member that is moving it into the storage locker for me.

Don't worry about it unless its over 6 months and then it will probably be fine anyway. Tires are incredibly durable.

I've stored my Fox and my '13 on the ground over winter and never had issues with flat spots. Just air the tires up to proper pressure and you're set. If you're worried about it you could have a friend check in on it to make the tires still have air.
