My son just bought a 2007 Mustang and is installing a "performance" chip. We me to know the ground wire and the IAT wire. I saw the diagram of the 2001 are they the same?
Here’s the diagram for the 2005 4.0. Electrically the 2007 will be the same, but they did make some wiring harness changes in ’07, so the color codes may be different. Seriously doubt it’d be the same as a 2001.
By the way, all that “chip” (probably just a resistor) does that you’re hooking up is skew the signal from the MAF sensor, which confuses the PCM into do things a little differently. It’s far better to get a “tuner” and reprogram the PCM properly.
welcome to the forums. stars is right about getting a programmer and custom tune, but its not cheap. i know a guy with a truck that did a chip, he thinks it gave better performance. lets us know what you think of it :bigthumbsup
