Wow!, That was easy!

I just finished installing my K&N Aircharger CAI. It was super easy and the directions the kit came with were easy to follow and dead on. The only snag was the hole for the MAF sensor was not exactly right and I had to "hollow" it out a little on one side so the sensor would fit in. Nice tight fit now. The Butt-O-Meter says it's negligently quicker; but the sound is WAY better! They guarantee that it will improve HP; I'll never know because I'll probably never get her on a dyno. HP should definitely be better after the JBA exhaust and tuner that is in the future (just don't tell the wife :kooky:)!

Here are some pics: (all you GT guys quit laughing ):

I know. I know. I noticed how bad it looked in the pictures. In person in the bad garage lighting it didn't look THAT bad! This is how I just got it back from the dealer after she spent TWO weeks getting the new convertible top put on. They said they detailed it...I guess their detail guy sucks because the windows were dirty and the exterior had water spots. Of course I'm very anal about keeping it clean; drives my wife crazy. I'm gonna clean her today.

The throttle repsonse feels better; but I know that must be in my mind because of the "drive-by-wire" delay built in until I tune it. I'll put it on the butt-o-meter this afternoon and see where the biggest improvement is, high or low end.

Leon..that is one big honkin' filter!! I like the red dress up loom cover...I think I'm going to get some of that in blue or black this weekend from the Autozone.

Thanks for the posts... WoMBaT

Well ya know what they say about big air filters , right??? ............hehehe....The engine breathes a lot easier.... What did you think I would say?!?!

Yeah , That dress up cover does make the engine stand out from the other Legend Limers I was around at the Car Show in Las Vegas.....but I wanna get stainless steel braiding to make it pop MORE!!

Can never add too much to the engine I always say.....

Actually I use a microfiber towel and stuff like armor all to make the engine shine.... Make sure to spray the armor all on the towel to evenly coat the plastic/rubber parts of the engine.....

I just pressure wash the bay, then wipe it down with microfiber towels. In my experience, using Armor All just collects the dust. Now, at a show I might use some Meguiar's Low-gloss protectant on the plastic pieces. But generally I think just straight water is safest under the hood.

Is it ok to spray down an engine with a cold air intake filter so visible? Will it hurt the filter?

If ya insist on spraying down the engine make sure to cover the air filter with plastic...
