Hey people, I was wondering if anyone would know how much a rear axle might cost to replace on 97 GT? I got in a wreck today with a curb, I lost control and slammed into it and it ripped off my left rear tire completely, rim and all, which got stuck under my car. When the tow truck came it was like something out of a horror movie, when they started pulling it forward the tire that was underneath started being wedged up holding the whole car up a foot off the ground on this one tire! My mom and I said Oh Sh*t and we both turned around so we couldnt see. I'm gonna have to replace the axle and i'm going to have to chunk my top of the line Yokohamas and my rims! There is no body damage what so ever... i'm not even sure if my mom will give it back to me even when it is fixed...
Does anyone have a rough idea about how much this might cost to get fixed?
geez that would suck. I'm thankfully getting mine back from the shop, finally, sometime this week, i think thats the best christmas present I could have got .
I fender-bendered mine Monday. A Recycling truck had a piece of wood come off the back and hit the front of my car. Need new hood, front bumper, gas tank bracket, & headlights. Pretty good for a few scratches. Quoted price to repair $2400. Thank God it wasn't my fault, but I hate the fact that my horse is injured and I have to drive it around like that until it gets fixed. It has dampened my Christmas. :weeps

Not really. What about if yo went to a junk yard and got one. You may even get lucky and get the same gear ratio you have in the one you wrecked. No idea on price though. Sorry to hear about that.:happyhapp
