Xpipe differance

I've noticed that there looks to be a differance in the way some of the X Pipes look, for instance the way the "SLP" looks, and the Magnaflows look... Are they all made really the same and just look differant on the outside? For power first, and sound second, and of course price which is the best way to go? Any suggestions?
