I took my 2006 GT to the Cecil County Dragway tonight. I ran the car just as it is described in my signature below.
Please keep in mind that this is the first time that I have run the 1/4 mile since I was a teen and ran my 90 LX 5.0 a few times - so it has been a long time.
Well, I arrived around 6:30 PM and got my first run in at 6:53 PM - it was about 80 degrees and I ran a 12.912 ET at 114.16 MPH - R/T was .580 and 60' was 2.195. Knowing that I was in the 12's, with improved ET's times certainly to come, had a smile on my face.
I was able to get a total of 8 runs.
My best was a 12.775 ET at 115.72 - R/T was .592 and 60' was 2.254.
From all the other runs - the car ran consistently 12.7 to 12.9 (with the exception of one run...), my best R/T was .076 and my best 60' was 2.101.
My overall thoughts:
Getting traction was difficult and I was basically not revving (loading) the car at all coming off the line and it was still spinning in first and sometimes in second. Some improvements in traction would help me. I've got to get my 60' times lower.
Racing aside, my father went with me - so it was an evening of quality time with my dad.
So, overall - I'm pleased - but do want to get some lower ET times.
Here is a video of my 12.853 ET run at 114.49 MPH.

With some better traction...maybe some drag radials...and some more practice, I'm hoping to see some low 12 second ET's.
I'll post some more videos and some ET slips.
