Hey guys new here but i really need advice im a young gearhead! My car is giving off the following error codes: P2270 and P2271 which direct me to my rear o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 saying its running lean. Now my car has an o/r pipe but i have MIL eliminators so its not from there being no cats. Should i just go ahead and replace the bank 1 oxygen sensor? Would that cure it? Could the code also be from some leak in the exhaust piping or something?

You sir are a victim of ever smarter PCM programming. Read the DTC codes carefully. What's hidden inside is that the PCM is causing a special misfire just to double check that the rear O2 sensors are working. Dumb MIL's are not smart enough to "fool" the 2003+ PCM.

P2270 - Lack of HO2S-12 Switch, Sensor Indicates Lean

The downstream HO2S sensors are forced rich and lean and monitored by the PCM. The test fails if the PCM does not detect the output of the HO2S in a calibrated amount of time.
