My driver window goes down the 1/4inch when opening the door (as they all do) but it doesnt go back up after shutting the door ..like it should. Also, the auto up doesnt work. Is this a switch problem? Relay? Solenoid? Is it hard to pull the door panel to replace a part? I hate to pay the dealer an arm and a leg for a simple fix. Only 18K on this car.

Turn your key to the on position but dont start the car, roll your window down and when it hits the bottom continue to hold the button down for about 2 seconds. Now roll the window up and when fully up continue to hold the button for about 2 seconds. Do this with the door closed. That should fix it.

Thank you! It worked!!! Now, how and why? lol
It's the window reset procedure. It's in the manual under power windows.

I have a similar problem, but it is intermittent. There are some
times when the drivers' side window will not come down. It
seems to be heat related, as it tends to happen on hotter days
and the next morning after a cool night the window operates
normally. Have not tried the reset procedure though. I will
check that out.
