my fox body wont run once started it sill start and fire but wont stay running it stares and then imedutly sputters and dies it used to start sputter then idle back to normal but now it wont run at all

hmm, sounds like maybe the IAC valve may have failed completely. check timing, fuel pressure, and see if you have spark. Good luck:bigthumbsup

This is a very basic question that can be answered by using the search. These 5.0 guys don't mind answering the same question 100000 times though, so here are some links that I found by typing "setting the timing on a 5.0" into GOOGLE!

That being said, you could also be running so rich that you are flooding the engine. That's the only other thing I can think of right now that would make the car spit, spudder and die. Do the timeing first and get back to us on if it worked or not...

turnes out me not driving it for 3 days and it was parked on an angle made all the fuel drained to one side of the tank and the fule pump ran dry one of my friends sat in the car and a little night at rocks berry style rocking and she started enough to get her out of the ditch and then into my drive way she idled out and then i drove it down the street with no problums
