Hi everyone,

I have an 89 Mustang GT that has been sitting for a bit as i have not had time to mess
With it until now. When i turn it on, it starts with no issues at all. However, when i first start it, it idles rough (rpm's go up and down, up and down) for a bit. Once it runs for a bit, it smoothens out and the idle is good. Any ideas on what i can check for? Also, the check oil light comes but it does have oil. Could it be a sensor or sedimg unit? Your help will greatly be appreciated.

Thank you.

It could be everything you mentioned but I had the same symptoms on my 93 at one time and it wound up being a cracked vacuum line that only effected it at idle. Best of luck with it.

This was just happening to my 2006. However mine is a drive by wire. What I did to fix it though was cleaned all my electrical connections. Maf tps and one other. Anyways I would try cleaning the throttle body electrical connections while looking for any vaccine leaks

One thing that I have found is that a
vacuum line goes into the interior of the car to control
the heat and a/c. It could also be a leaking vacuum
control under the dash.
