I own an 08 GT that has the CA emissions package. I don't live in CA and I am having trouble determining what the difference is between CA emissions vs other states. Does Ford use a different more restrictive CAT? I have added a C&L CAI and started tuning the car with a DiabloSport Tuner. The car is reading .94 at O211 and .93 at O221. I assume I am running a bit rich, but I don's want to hurt the motor. I am getting those readings at 6k RPM in third gear. Also 29 degrees of timing. Anyone have any thoughts?

well my thought is does your state have the same emissions laws as california which i believe most states do now, :scratchchin and second your running rich at 6000 rpm's when do you test your emissions at 6000 rpm's??? i think you will be fine when it comes to emissions i thought 05 and newer didnt have to have emission tests for three years??

welcome to the forum! not sure why or what it is. but i know CA is funny about that!
well if you dont have emissions testing where your at be happy cause it aint nothing but a PITA!!!!! the emissions are more restrictive on a CA spec car cause CA has so much pollution and motor vehicles that the air there is horrible. :nono: when they make the car the car can only put out so much pollution before being deemed unlawful to drive in the state of CA because of the pollutants comming out of your tail pipe. i would just say shut up and ask them if they know what a O/R pipe is :hihi:

anything that says its CA legal will be more restrictive :so you guys are lucky in michigan to not have any emissions testing.. and the air in CA is only bad in the really big cities like LA and etc. over in mission viejo its just homes and hills and its nice :happyhapp
