I was out driving her last night and was switching from third gear to forth but when switching gear and the car went in neutral the clutch just dropped on me and stayed to the floor. I was able to get it home and take a look and see that my clutch now only stays all the way on the floor or I can manually pick it up and it will stay there but there will be no resistance when I press on it and it will automacily drop to the floor and stay there. When getting it towed I was able to get the car into first gear but now it wont get out of gear even when the clutch pedal is to the floor. Im confused on where this problem may be coming from if anyone on here would be able to maybe give me some suggestions on what to check out.

Very first thing I would check is the hydraulic clutch line underneath the hood and vehicle. I've never heard of one blowing completely loose, but then again I've also learned to never say never. You would be looking for evidence of leaked (leaking) brake fluid and wet spots. Its a wee bit of a PITA to replace that line if it has ruptured, but it can be done with ordinary tools and a quick search on YouTube. That could be one possible explanation as to why you suddenly have no clutch pedal pressure.

Beyond that, there's really nothing to service or adjust and you are looking at tranny removal to figure out what happened.

The good news is the MT-82 is removable, rebuildable and replaceable. Call around your local shops and ask if they've done one before. Best worst case scenario, if that makes sense, is a Ford dealer where you know they've done many before.

If you have the ability and intestinal fortitude to yank it out yourself, you can save yourself a bit of $$$ on labor and have it shipped to a specialty shop that specializes in such type of work. You would need to be able to containerize it for shipment of course. Others here will have recommendations.

Good luck to you and your bank account!!!! HTH!

I took a look and seen that my brake fluid was empty so I decided to put some more and pump the clutch, after doing that I looked under the vehicle and all of the brake fluid that I had poured had instantly leaked to the floor so I believe I just need a new slave cylinder.

Be sure to check for other leak sources, like directly below brake fluid reservoir!

I am hoping you have an easily repairable simple leak!

Keep us posted and pictures are requested!

I think this was an issue with these cars when they first came out; sometimes they would have high RPM shift lock-out and sometimes the clutch would stay on the floor after one of these high-RPM lock-out issues, if I remember correctly

also not sure if I am remembering correctly, but the solution had to do with the clutch assist spring maybe? and Steeda sells new ones to fix the issue

I might be mixing this with something else in my mind, it has been several years ... suggest you search the existing threads and you might be able to find it

My car did the exact same thing. High RPM shifts would cause the pedal to get stuck on the floor among other issues. I could pull the pedal back up with my foot and pump it a couple of times and it would return to normal.

Last month I had an Exedy Mach 500 clutch put in the car along with a new slave cylinder. Zero issues now. I believe the factory pressure plate is junk and that's the main issue. (The shifter design is also trash but that's another story for another thread.)
