Might be handy to know the car's model year. This certainly has an effect on the fuse schedule and trouble shooting steps.
Does the interior lights work if the head light switch is turned all the way CCW?
Do the interior lights work on the passenger's door?
Does the key minder work?
Has any recent dash work been done? Radio install? Check the center console ground. It's shared by the cluster, GEM, AC blower motor, and the Radio. It is frequently messed up during a radio install.
Assuming that all fuses are OK and the center console ground is OK:
If only the driver's door isn't working, likely this is the door switch.
If neither door works, and the dimmer doesn't work, then look at the head light switch. Check for overheating.
If the dimmer works and neither door works, then the GEM is bad.
