My car is a 2011 GT with a Breenspeed tune which has been on the car for a little over 3 years. This year was the first year that I had to get my emissions tested, and low and behold, it failed. I spoke with Breenspeed and they checked the tune to make sure the second set of o2 sensors were turned on, and they were. The actual message for the failed test said "the on board computer is not ready to determine the pollution control system". I have never seen this before, so I was wondering if anyone else might have had this issue, and of course, what you did to pass. The only other thing I can think of, is that the guy never plugged into the OBD2 port because I have an Aeroforce gauge plugged in, and the connector is a little hard to remove. I guess I could always return it to stock and then flash it back. Any help would be appreciated.

My guess would be tune. When i failed last month i got a print out im sure like you had telling you all the info on why. I relayed that to my tuner and he said "oh ok i know what to fix" and two hours later he mailed me a revision and it passed. If you are running just a tune with no mods that require a custom tune, i'd put it to stock and have at it from there...good luck sir i know this is a very frustrating topic!

Last month Shaun from AED made an announcement on all the forums that he had upgraded his tunes so that they would avoid the situation you're describing. I got the impression that this took quite a bit of research and testing, far beyond being sure the rear O2 sensors were turned on. I have not seen any other tuner address this.

I'm so happy I don't need to deal with emissions testing here in WI. Well, not yet anyway...

Im curious as to exactly what error it is causing this. When i failed i got front and rear o2 and fuel system not reading that failed it. It was a quick fix in the tune for it and this was done by gil nevarez from shelby motorsports. The above issue disturbs me much more than what i had...

The reputable tuners have going back to 1997. (BOC, etc)...these shops have actual oem certified ECM & trans techs that actually know the design specifications of the engines & trannys.....makes a big different in engine management & mis-management.

Jon Lund has been doing that for years.

Here is an update, sorry for the delay. I reflashed it to stock last weekend and took it back for the test, and it failed again. I new this was a possibility since I had very little drive time that day after putting it back. I go again this morning, and it passed, the only difference being the 300 miles of drive time that I put on this week going to work. Next year, I will put the stock tune back, then drive it for one week (approx 300 miles) and then it should pass no problem. Thanks for your replies.
