I stumbled across a company on the internet called CLASSIC SERVICES RESTORATION PARTS. The prices on the kits they sell seemed very good compared with similar kits I've seen. Has anyone had any experience with them, good or bad? Thanks.

I put the stock disc replacement kit from CSRP on my 67. I do not have any real miles on it yet but it went together fine and has worked like a charm so far. There are alot of CSRP fans around here, I don't think you'll get any negative responses.

Great kit that can not be beat for quality, price, value and service.

Oh yeah, I am a happy customer. One of the best things I did on our 66

Good Luck and BE Safe

just bought swap # 2 for my 68 i havent installed it yet but they did get to the three boxes to my house a day before they said they would so thats a plus allready! i dont know how much better the car will stop with discs over the drum set but those that have some experiance i'm sure those on the fence about this type of mod would love to know what to expect!

Like night and day!!

I didn't use CSRP's kit but I did use their recast Granada Spindles. Back in '82 I installed a set of Fairlane 500 disc brakes on my '65 Convertible. I thought it best to replace those Fairlane Spindles with ones that had the steering arm in the right configuration.

The CSRP spindles were visually perfect and they went on well and worked as advertised.

Bought/installed the Swap 1 on my car last week. LOVE IT! I can actually brake now without having my car sliding around when braking.

Do it right, do the CSRP brake conversion

That is an upgrade I really want to do on mine. My biggest issue right now is the wheels have. They are the 14" styled steel wheels that they used on the GT's in '66. I know with many of the brake upgrades, you need at least a 15" wheel.

Now I have to figure out if I am going to get different wheels before buying tires, so I will be ready to do the swap at a later date. I don't have my heart set on using the 14's I currently have, it's more an issue of money to buy a different set of wheels. I'd love to have 15's or 16's. The styled steel wheels came with additional goodies I got when I bought the car.

Anyone want to trade a set of 15's for these 14's?? LOL

I LOVE CSRP but try to find chocostang on here. He sells the same stuff. But, a buddy of mine got his from Choco because he has 14" styled wheels and his kit fits the 14's. Of course you can still put bigger wheels on but this kit will fit for 14's.

I'll get you that email by the way. Been running around crazy the past couple days and loading the pics from my phone to the computer.

APPReciate ya SDMustangrider!!

We spell it Chockostang.

Our name is Chockley, we started doing Mustangs in the late 60's and on, and on, and???

Scott went to school at Wyoming Tech early 90's , came home said "we need to call this ChockOstang".

It stuck.

Ahh Gotcha. At least I get the sounding of the name similar! Just needed to add that K. I'm telling Hobby about your kit for 14's because my buddy Joe 65/72 I think that's how it's shown on here told me he got your kit specifically because he had 14's. I kinda like that name too. It's not like an abbreviation like CSRP but has the NAME in the company name in it. Pretty spiffy I think.
