Food for thought... if your car is completely original, then the question really is, should I devalue my car to do this upgrade. I'll be honest, if it were me, I would go with the muscle car transformation. My 66 is for the most part 100% original inside and out with the exception of the power house under the hood. I would never have it any other way. But, a car that is totally original, does hold a higher value.

Well...not exactly. Coupes don't hold a lot of value in the first place. In this case, going from a straight 6 to 289 will actually probably increase the price somebody would pay for it. In fact when you look at what these things are selling for on Ebay, the only ones that are actually bringing a respectable price are the restomods, and those are far from original.
