Yeah, young folks & high performance cars has always been a recipe for high premiums for obvious reasons.

Welcome to AFM, from Texas.

You do not give much background other than age but you are in the college freshman age group. If you are in college I would contact an insurance company and see if you qualify for a qualified student rate if you have a good GPA. Some insurers also offer discounts if you use a nanny device plugged into the OBD port.

$3-6k depending on where you live and what discounts you qualify for.
I hope that is an annual number not monthly, but I guess you never know these days, LOL

the best/easiest way to find out is probably to ask your parents to ask their insurance agent; and the lowest cost likely is to add your car to your parents' policy

Under 25 your best bet is to buy a car that you can afford without taking a loan, then get just the minimum mandatory insurance. In most states that insures the other guy, not you, and it doesn't matter what kind of car it is.

You're asking a question that is impossible to answer. Automobile insurance is personalized for each driver. Lots of factors go into determining your cost. Things like your age, driving record, location, miles driven, type of vehicle, discounts you qualify for, etc. Then, the cost can vary widely between insurance companies. Best bet is to contact an insurance broker who can shop your needs with several companies. Good luck..... Jim

Yes, per annum. The 6 cylinder Mustang, believe it or not, is reasonable for insurance. About the same as most hoopties.

Im 19 years old looking to buy a 15-17 mustang gt. Any idea how much full coverage would be monthly?
Your current driving record will play a large role in your rates.
If you are a student you will get a discount.
Like was mentioned before.
You need to call your insurance provider with the Vin number of your vehicle. đźš—
Good luck.

What insurance plan did you end up choosing? I’m planning to call Progressive Insurance phone number soon and want to be fully prepared. It would be really helpful to know what important questions to ask—like about coverage options, discounts, claim processes, and any hidden fees. Also, if you had any good or bad experiences with them, please share! I want to make sure I get the best coverage for my needs without surprises.
