So I'm driving at night, just cruising.

And my headlights keep turning Off and On.
I take it as a nice gesture that people keep flashing their lights at me. Luckily the cops that i've driven by, haven't bothered to pull me over.

I checked the connections at the bulbs and they all look good.
I haven't gone through the rest of the circuit since I can't find the electrical manual.

But any ideas? Have any of you guys had this problem before?
I was wondering switch problems? maybe?

Also my gauge lights seem awfully dim, but is that just normal, I'm used to my other cars bright red lights.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm with Stars and Joes72/65. A new switch may solve all your problems. There are several Mustang suppliers in the LA area. Above all, get it fixed. Cops are not your biggest problem if you're flashing your lights in Los Angeles at night.
Stay safe. :winks

I had this exact problem in my 73 fast back. I would be driving along and the lights would go off. I noticed it was only when the lights were on high beam, so naturally, I only use the low beam. When it started doing it on low, I finally paid 6 bucks at autozone for the high/low beam switch in the floor board..... No more problems. And, it's a quick and easy replacement.

it is absolutly the switch, mine did this in my 66, i was driving down a tiny curvy road lined with mailboxes when they went out.

I replaced the switch and have not had a problem since.
