Hi just purchase a v6 2012 , really happy with the car until i try to hit 4 gear all d way an it only let me go as high as 120mph, I have a dioblo sport tunner that I had for my previous 2006 v6, my question then is , Is it posible to use that tunner to shut down the speed limit, the dioblo fits , however it was meant for 2006. any information is welcome thanks:kooky:

I don't think that would work. I know bama can tame care of it though..

I wonder what hitting a deer at 120 would be like. I hope you're talking about the track!!

Before you go faster than that with the car, read some other threads on this forum in concern to the driveshaft of the car breaking loose at over 130mph. If you plan on going that fast, you might want to invest in a driveshaft that will not snap or at least a safety loop

k thanks guys will take it to d dyno

Thanks, for the info I did heard about the drive shaft breaking, which is a big disapointment , I mean car is fast but the way that they sell d car make u think that you will be able to do more than 120. I guess is to good to be true.

Do I have to go to d dyne to uploade the diablo to my mode?
Guess I will have to buy d driveshaft, cause whats d point of 6 gear if I tap out in 4

I think Ford felt safe to put the limiter at 120.

1. The car isnt going over 120 on the 1/4 mile - where achieving those speeds are legal.
2. IF and WHEN the car does over 120 on the track, 1/4 mile or road course, the car would probably NOT be stock and the driver/owner needs to know that the DS needs to be replaced for pushing more stress on the stock one.
3. I don't think the car would be as inexpensive if they put more R/D and gave the care a better DS. May have to cough up 200$ or more per car for a new DS along with the R/D price.

Now, for the FEW exceptions that claim that the DS has failed on normal driving conditions: they are probably just SOL.

Just sayin.

PS. Sixth is an overdrive you most likly wont be getting max speed in 6th xP

I bought my 2012 v6 6spd manual for the purpose of tracking it. No, not drag racing i mean HPDE's. Our course is 1.8 mile's and I've hit speeds around 115-125mph. never had a issue with the drive train.

I think this drive shaft controversy started with one or two guys just having bad luck with their cars and it just snow balled from there... Just takes a couple people on these forums and it can really snowball from there...
