I bought the Billet Black Grille Insert from American Muscle to replace the Polished one that comes with the 2011 GT/ CS package.
NOW, the instructions that show how to remove the stock one "assume" that you are removing one with Fog lights to do a fog light delete. Therefore removal is slightly different.
Does anyone know the best/easiest way to remove the stock Billet grille to install the new one? (they are not a "simple direct" swap.).
It seems like you must remove the retaing one-way push washers or snip the off the posts to remove the grille. Dont wanna break anything.
Thanks

I removed the factory GT one...I can't speak directly for the CS grille...

There are several plastic locking tabs all around the grille...if the CS is the same, just take your time and work your way around the grille pushing the tabs while pulling out on the grille. The two on each side nearest the headlights were the hardest to get out...I broke one of those off getting the stock grille out...but that didn't affect the install of the Saleen replacement

I have same problem. Best I can tell you can remove the entire assy (grill insert/bezel) as one unit, but its a bit of a fuss for sure. The grill insert has the same one-way fasteners but are so tight that they seem effectively one-way unless you break off the tangs to separate the grill from the molding around it. (on GT) Also appears the GT/CS grill insert has a specific molding it needs to be installed with. The GT molding does not have the same fastner attach points as the GT/CS grill insert. Saw that last night...
