Cyclone is the internal Ford code name for the current version of the Duratec V6.

All of the versions are known as the Cyclone, the 3.5's and the 3.7's in all of the Ford motor company cars and trucks, just like the new 5.0 is known internally as the coyote.

In the other thread about this company, I have links posted about the 2011 Ginetta G55 with a naturally aspirated "Cyclone" 3.7l with 370 hp. That is the one that has my interest piqued. I want to know what has been done to this engine as it is a car available to the public.

yea and the prior engine for V6, the 4.0 was called the cologne, started as a truck motor in the rangers and s,all vans, originaly a conventional pushrod valvetrain and then changed to a SOC for the mustangs.

LOL! I can see it now (from a Grabber owner): The Blue Cyclone!

One or two of you MIGHT catch the humor. :p

Actually, the "cologne" V6 was named because of it's origin in Cologne Germany. It was, I believe, originally a 2.6 litre V6 back in the early to mid 1970's and was first used in the U.S. in the Capri. And over the years was developed and eventually evolved into the 4.0 in both pushrod and OHC versions.
