My car is surprisingly quiet. I really don't have any bumps or creaks except for the rear speaker deck. I have a rattle in it that is most pronounced when the car is started up cold. The exhaust makes something rattle back there....

I was hoping to find some advice on how to remove the "rear speaker deck" I guess I will call it. It's the deck under the rear glass inside the cabin. I really don't need to remove the speakers as far as I know, just the top of the deck so I can get some stuffing or dynamat in there.

Thanks.

Just did it on a 2012 v6 to change out the front and rear 6x9's and it took me about an hour to remove the deck, and another hour to remove the speakers and replace them, and then put the deck and rest of the rear of the car in order. What a pain in the a**. As with anything, once you remove certain pins (plastic screw like push pin), if you are not careful the pins will strip and you won't get them back in the same. Also, some of the panels feel like they are not 100% the same, but no rattles or anything like that.

Here is a link of a Youtube video that shows you how to get started (second half is for the rear of the car). The 2011 maybe a little different but it gives you the jist. I would pull up the truck padding first to make sure something didn't slip in there and make a rattle sound that makes it sound like the rear deck. Good luck anyway.
