Mustang - 666 , well said. i have splitters and have not installed them yet because of the frigid temps in NY. Is your lighting effected at all by the splitters?. They do seem to be inline with the headlight beem. Your car looks great:bigthumbsup

Im not a huge fan of the splitters myself, yet I would not consider them tacky. However, that is his opinion, no need to attack him for stating his beliefs. As for where to get them, everywhere.

I don't think they are so much tacky, as too expensive for what they are.

As always, to each their own.
I know I've overspent on things no one else would consider.
Also, what looks good (or bad) on one car doesn't mean it will look the same on all others.

To the OP, as long as you are happy, that's all that matters.

I have a set of splitters on my car and I can't tell any difference in the beam of the headlights. They seem the same as they did before I put them on. I have had them on for a couple of years now and would like to remove them, but I am afraid I will scratch the clear headlight covers trying to remove then. If I can get them off without damaging the covers I will give then to the guy that was inquiring about them. They are painted performance white. If anyone has any suggestions on removal, let me hear from you. Also I guess we could exchange headlight covers if they aren't to hard to remove.

To remove them get a plastic putty knife type thing and just slide it under there to peel them off. Then use some prepsal to get the residual glue off. It should not scratch them at all, but if it does don't worry you can sand your lenses with some 1000 grit then 1500 grit and compound them back to a showroom new like finish. This will also restore any clouding of the lens from road debris.

Yeah, definitely overpriced. I can't wait for the new 2010 Mustang. Then maybe 2005-2009 parts will come down in price.

I'm tired of anything and everything for my car costing 2 or 3 times what it should, just because it's for the latest Mustang.

If they are not Tacky, how do they stick to the lens? :scratchchin
