Ok I'm new here, I have a 1995 Ford Mustang GT AOD-E Transmission, I bought the car Dec. 2019, never had a issue till about 2 months ago, I can put it in drive, take off it does fine, it shifts up through gears, you can even push down on gas pedal and it will downshift and go, but when I come to a stop it doesnt downshift through gears as you slow down, when you come to a stop it sounds like it bogs down when it should be downshifting from 2nd to 1st, and acts like it still in high gear, almost dies then shifts to first, after this started I changed trans fluid, and filter did not fix issue, I just change dual shift solenoid, and it still does not want to downshift when you come to a stop. I took it to a shop but they said they didnt notice anything and it drove fine, but as soon as I left it was doing it, Please I Need Help!
Thanks in advance, and please if I didnt say something the right way dont give me a hard time, I'm not a mechanic, and theres no shops close to me in Mobile, Al that want to help me with my Mustang because it's a 1995, please if someone knows what is causing this please respond, only problem I'm having is not downshifting when coming to a stop

Well thanks to anyone that gave any kind of help, I found my problem it was in the computer, luckly I still had warranty on the one I bought a few months back, I put the new computer in and no downshift problems, i had a chip installed, i believe the chip caused the problem with computer, do not buy a performance chip, i bought one from American Muscle for over $200, i will not be putting it back in

Hey I appreciate any possible help, I will keep trying that link though, thanks for the link
Scan for error codes. If you don’t have a code reader you can use a paper clip and count the number of times the check engine light flashes, but that kinda stinks. The local parts store probably won’t have a loaner OBDI scanner.
Maybe it’s the shift solenoid?

No it was the computer, I ended up buying a bad one from oriellys, they got me another one and car shifts correctly now, I had the problem before with alot of other problems because original computer had 2 blown capacitors, and it fixed problems, so never thought new computer was the problem, and I bought a obd1 reader when I bought car, thanks for the help
