So everything I had typed in the post apparently was deleted not by me.
P0053 code popping up, replaced bank 1 sensor 1 O2 with a motorcraft replacement. The fuses all look fine but the check engine light is still coming on after clearing. What else could be the issue. I'm not very good at things car related and only trying to help a friend out.

2006 v6 100% stock as far as I know.

Do you have any data-logging capability?

Matt, unfortunately I do not, just the OBD at Autozone. After replacing the Bosch one she asked me to install with a motorcraft O2 sensor, the CEL stayed off for a bout 22 miles before returning just the P0053 code.

Could be wiring problem. Check for continuity from the socket to the ECU. I had the same problem. Replaced O2 sensor yet got MIL after a fee hours driving. Checked the wiring and found wires cut from the inside. The insulation is not cut but the wire inside is cut. Spliced the wires and now its fine. And so I have a spare O2 sensor...
