Yes, I know, age is only ion the mind, but on the other hand, numbers do not lie. I am 46 and NOT going through a mid-life crisis (LOL!), but just want to enjoy my life. With that being said, the one concern I had when narrowing my choices down in cars was my age. I wanted something that would be right for me. I LOVE the Mustang look and was very excited about getting one...again, until I saw the numbers, and also thought about the several times I saw newer Mustangs, the drivers were twenty somethings, or early thirties for most part.

So my question is, on average, is the Mustang a "younger" persons car?

Top Down,

One of the great things about the Mustang was when it was first produced, it had broad appeal for all ages. I don't look at it any differently. My generation just happened to yearn for a classic looking car, and this model happens to be very close...... If you look at my MCA club, we have all ages for all models. So if you love the car, don't care what anyone else thinks, and Drive One.

The poll is pretty meaningless. Age of what? visitors to the site?

A better poll would be "Age of current Mustang owners"

FWIW... I'm 47 and seriously considering a GT.

Ill be 44 and love the '11 Mustang. Muscle car meets pure refinement. This is a classy car and should be driven by everyone. Go over to TMS most are 40+ over at that forum.

As long as you can get in and out comfortably, you are not too old.

My last 'Stang was an 89 and I'm seriously considering an 11 GT. It's simply too good a car to pass up. I turn 52 in a couple of weeks. A lot of people I know choose mustangs for life!

The Mustang crowd around here are all ages. I see mostly the older crowd cruising in their 2005+ verts with their baseball caps and trophy wives. The younger crowd mostly drive New Edges and older.

Gentlemen

I have a 2011 base GT with3.55 and Brembo brake package on order since April 19. I am 63 years old. My first performance car was a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner with a 425hp 426 Hemi that I bought when I returned from Viet Nam. That was my first car. My last three cars have been a 2003 Mitsubishi Evo 8, a 2006 Pontiac GTO, and a 2008 Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo.

You are only old if you think you are.

Copper Man:)

The only way your too old for a Mustang is if your taking a dirt nap :gringreen

Boy, I would like to think I'm not too old, dealer had no problem selling us one. Wife is 55, I am 54 and we have been married for 35 years. Like I said in another post, if we don't like it, we'll sell it. My wife has always wanted a mustang and now she will have one. "You will never spend you last 20 dollars, it is impossible".

If you think you are old at 46, maybe you should think about a Camyre or something similar..............

I am 61 and my 2011 GT replaced my 05 GT...........

Age can be a state of mind- get the Mustang and move on
into the rest of your life....IT WILL BE FUN !!!!

If you think you are too old then you probably are. It isn't about your actual age, it is how you think about your age.

I am 40 and can't wait for my new stang to arrive. I don't care what others think, I never notice the age of other drivers in other cars. Windows down, stereo up and nothing else matters. If you find my post insulting, then it means you still have some fight in you which means you may not be too old for a mustang . . .
